English courses for teenagers
Courses for teenagers are meant for students aged 12 to 18 who by this age may already have acquired a certain level of English proficiency. We encourage teenage learners to further improve their language skills and to obtain an international certificate.
Lessons focus on:
- Improving all four language skills
- Detailed grammar explanations and practice
- Natural sentence structure
- Vocabulary building
- Academic and practical writing (essay, review, report, formal and informal email, CV etc.)
- Correction of “old” mistakes with students who have previously learnt English
And include:
- Learning materials based on students’ interests and education goals
- Paying special attention to each student’s needs and learning styles
- Regular knowledge assessment and feedback
- Regular and direct communication with students’ parents
- Preparation for international certificates
After completing these levels, learners acquire C2 level of proficiency. Because of young learners’ education and future career needs, on completion of appropriate levels, preparation for Cambridge First (FCE), Cambridge Advanced (CAE) and Cambridge Proficiency (CPE) is an integral part of the syllabus.
Primary English courses
These courses are for children aged 7 to 12. We pay special attention to whether a young learner has already learnt English or not. Both the level of English proficiency and age are taken into account when children are assigned to specific groups (classes).
Lessons involve:
- Work on all four language skills
- Acquiring a good foundation for further study
- Interesting and carefully selected course materials
- Activities in class that encourage curiosity and creativity
- Learning in a relaxed atmosphere and through play
- Topics young learners can relate to
